Leola was born on July 20, 1933 in Lansing, MI to Russell and Lucille Altstaetter. She had lived in the Chelsea area all of her life, graduating from Chelsea High School, Class of 1951. She worked for Merkel Furniture Store for many years, beginning when it was a hardware store, but many would remember her as an interior designer. After retiring from the University of Michigan, she finished her working career at the Chelsea Dollar Store. Judy was born September 1, 1949 to Bob and Kathy Wilson. She was born in Stockbridge and grew up in Fitchburg before moving to Stockbridge as a teen. She graduated from Stockbridge High School in 1967 and married Jimmy Shevrovich on September 22, 1968. The donations will be used for a memorial and to establish a scholarship fund administered by the Dexter Rotary. Paul was born on September 1, 1938 in Gary, Indiana to Harry and Alice Cousins. He graduated from Portage High School, and later Bryan College in Dayton, TN, where he met Pat. They were married for 61 years and raised their family in Dexter. We would like to take the time to thank the families we have served and those who have visited for being patient with us during this time of transition. Robert Neil Mast, age 101, of Dexter, MI, passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at his home. After the Navy, Al entered the University of Michigan and graduated in 1949, where he became an avid Michigan football and basketball fan. He even proudly displayed a football that was signed to him on his 80th Birthday by Bo Schembechler and Lloyd Carr. He majored in speech, and upon graduation he was hired by WPAG in Ann Arbor, where he worked as a broadcaster for 17 years, serving as News and Program Director.

She loved her home in the city of Chelsea and was a wonderful homemaker and gardener.
As we are sad to leave our previous "home" of 50 years, we are also grateful for the opportunity to better accommodate and serve our families in a beautiful new facility. Although we are moving forward in the next chapter of Mitchell Funeral Home's legacy, we will continue to uphold the same care and promise of service established nearly 100 years ago. She graduated from Jackson Northwest High School, Class of 1995. She loved socializing and spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. She also enjoyed spending time outdoors and camping. She worked for many years for Henry Ford Allegiance Hospital in the housekeeping department.
Bob is also survived by two sisters, Mary Ann Hansen, and Linda Kociba, brother-in-law, Stanley Toney, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Selma, his parents, and step-mother, Anne Mast, sisters, Kathryn Waggoner, Jean Reardan, Joan Toney, and granddaughter, Lauren Stanfield. In 1969, Al left the Board to become a realtor and opened his own office in Ann Arbor. Shortly after enrolling at the University of Michigan, Al married his home town sweetheart, Marguirete “Mick” , and moved to Dexter, MI, where he lived for most of his life. Al and Mick had two children, Jim and Cheryl, whom they loved and actively supported throughout their lives. Al never missed a school event or sporting event involving his kids, and after a long day at work he spent hours throwing footballs, hitting baseballs and enjoying his family.
